Purpose The Community Capacity Committee (CCC) combines the three former standing
committees (Strategy Planning, Community Empowerment, Reach/Capacity Building) of the RICPG and is responsible for issues related to CPG structure and function.
This committee was designed to efficiently use the time of the members and support the work of the RICPG in achieving its internal structural goals and adhering to its charter.
Scope of Responsibility The CCC deals with internal CPG functioning and capacity building issues. The CCC
handles member recruitment and participation, the Charter, ensures that the CPG meets the timelines laid out for planning and all CDC attributes, and identifies
capacity building needs for the CPG membership and the community at large. The CCC meeting agendas are driven by need. All CPG members are also CCC members.
Although all members are encouraged to attend all CCC meetings, the attendance requirement is 50% of the officially held meetings per year. A year is defined from the beginning of a member's term.
The CCC meetings are held monthly for two hours; currently meetings are held on the evening of the 4th Thursday of each month.
