The MSM taskforce meets on an as-needed basis to organize focus groups. Please
call Lorraine Kaul at 401-397-5616 if you are interested in being put on the list for these meetings.
The RICPG Task Forces were created to concentrate on areas of importance to our
own Rhode Island population. There are four Task Forces, comprised of both RICPG members and non-members.
Each task force concentrates on a specific priority population, while also considering
the issues of people of color, people who do not know their HIV status, and people who are HIV positive but not in treatment.
All members are encouraged to serve on at least one task force, and may serve on
multiple task forces. Task forces meet at least once a month, or as needed.
MSM
Men engaging in unprotected sex with men and/or men engaging in unprotected sex
with men and women (MSM)
IDU
Injecting drug users and other substance users and their partners
WOMEN
Women engaging in unprotected sex with men.
YOUTH
Youth engaging in unprotected sex and/or alcohol and other drug use.
