An event filled with music, performances, spoken word
and even a condom competition where youth and young adults
are creating HIV Prevention messages to put on condom wrappers.

Buildings in Providence were illuminated in red in honor of
World AIDS Day and we had the most buildings in red worldwide!
Performances and speakers promoted HIV/AIDS Awareness.
The ceremony included the First Lady of Rhode Island, Stephanie Chafee,
a guitar soloist, musical groups, poetry reading and remarks from
various community leaders and doctors, including representatives from
AIDS Care Ocean State, AIDS Project RI, AIDS Task Force of Jewish Alliance,
RI Department of Health, Miriam Hospital and Roger Williams Medical Center.
